Episode 2 - A rocky start

 And so the season is under way

with only a few niggling injuries in the squad we move into the season at nearly full strength

The line-up ill be starting the season with is as follows.

With only coleman out we have nearly our strongest team to select from, however, Gomes mina and sigurdsson have all had knocks so won't be match fit for week one.

we came up against a strong united team and Lukaku came back to haunt us

Gomes, Sigurdsson and Coleman should make a big difference going forward though

And they do

we record a good win at home and a clean sheet to get our points tally up and running

.

This injury effectively rules Zouma out for the entire loan spell and is a horrid blow so early on in the season

Thank god we got Rojo in as cover or we would be struggling

The games come quickly and we soon find ourselves at the end of september...

 .

By the end of september we have won 3 home but lost all 3 away games in the league

Scoring 8 and only conceding 1 at home is a good start, but conceding 10 in 3 away is horrendous, albeit with both manchester teams now played away already

we need to tighten up away from home and start to pick up some points if we are to mount a challenge for european places

we also won in the 2nd round of the EFL cup, but then lost at home to bournemouth in round 3

Proper Everton that is..

Fa cup it'll have to be if we want silverware this season although unless we get some depth into the squad, we will struggle to focus on much other than the league

We find ourselves in 10th

Not the worst start, but not the best by any means

However with a rather kind looking next 2 months, we have a better chance of moving up rather than down hopefully.

Cenk is really struggling to lead the line so far in our system

He seems to struggle without a strike partner and has yet to find the net this season

i think a loan move, or a permanent one if the right deal for a striker comes up in january, that will have to be our priority

can we turn the rocky start around and find some form?
