Episode 3 - Away day woes, But Goodison is a fortress

We move into October and need to turn our results around away from Goodison if we are to move up the table and towards the Europa league places.
With Southampton, Watford and Fulham all away on the next 2 months, we should be looking to improve on last months showings at the Etihad and Old Trafford
But first, a home game against struggling Huddersfield
A win, another clean sheet and a MOM for Mina
I tried something a bit different and started Walcott through the middle and it worked a treat adding some mobility to the top end of the pitch
A red card for Digne isn't ideal though and we will miss him in the next game
Back to back away games either side of an international break see us ship another 5 goals and pick up no points, Watford are doing well and are in the top 6 but these are games we need to be picking up points from if we are to breach the European places.
A really strong win at home against spurs gets some momentum back and yet another clean sheet at home, Goodison is a fortress this season
Richarlison keeps scoring and Mina and Rojo have struck up a solid partnership at the back, but only at home it would seem.
Finally we get an away win!
and a 5-0 thrashing of Fulham shows that we do have the ability, its just a mental issue that needs addressing
Cenk Tosun finally gets his goal that his last few performances have deserved
Richarlison keeps his good form going and overall, this was a 10/10 team performance.
We follow up that good win with a disappointing 0-0 draw at home with Palace, Followed by a tight 1-0 loss at the Emirates
to sum up these last two months its been another up and down time for us
We've been in great form at home, Picking up 7 from a possible 9 points and not conceding in those 3 games
Although away has been where we've struggled again, picking up only 3 from 12 points on the road although, in the last 2 games we've tightened right up and seem to be playing better so theres room for optimism.
We have moved up a place since last time and find ourselves in 9th but only 2 points off the europa league places.
the top 6 have really pulled away early on, and with Newcastle the surprise package so far breaching into the top 6, that has moved spurs out and has made them our main rivals, theoretically, for 7th spot this season
Mina and Rojo have really hit up a partnership and Richarlison has scored 7 in 12 appearances so far, so we are getting the individual players playing well, it's now a case of turning that into team efforts to turn it around and get ourselves up the table.
Next Episode is the December / Festive period where our season could well be made, or broken
Can we turn it around away from home?
Can we find some consistency?
I look forward to seeing any comments.
Thanks for reading and see you next time
