Episode 4 - A not so festive period

So we move into the Festive period  and we have a raft of games that are, in my opinion, going to define our season

it's always a tough month that requires a lot of rotation, and with a small list of injuries to key players, we could struggle

up first, Cardiff at home

A terrible result in all realism

Leading twice and drawing 3-3 at home to the team stuck firmly to the foot of the table is a bad result and we need a dramatic improvement if we are to get anything away at Anfield for the first derby of the season

The less said about this the better

Another loss this time at home to chelsea

we battled well but were outclassed all over the park

this squad is starting to look massively lacking in quality in key areas, something we will have to address in January i feel.

A 3-0 away win is a bonus in a terrible month

Sigurdsson dragged us through this game and showed his value 10 times over in this game

the striker situation is seeming to be a desperate one now, the wingers are also not providing much service.

Another 2-0 defeat against united put the brakes firmly back on

an Andre Gomes red card, and an injury to Walcott put our team down to bare bones now

A win at home thanks to a Tarkowski own goal and another Richarlison effort sees us pick up an invaluable 3 points

A bad loss away to struggling wolves and another injury to a winger

this has been the worst month to date and puts us in a terrible position going into the new year.

Even though we played 3 of the top 4 this month the Draw to cardiff and the loss to wolves are bad results we have no excuse for

We sit 9th still somehow

the top 6 have created a 13 point gap to 7th and it seems no team outside the top 6 can get any sort of form going luckily for us

we need a quick turn around in our performances and some reinforcements in January if we are to salvage a Europa league place though it would seem

My plan is going to be strengthen the squad depth, and look to target the FA cup in the hopes of salvaging what has been so far, a very mediocre season
